Defence Double - April 2011

28 MARCH 2012
The CEL Group is very pleased to announce a Double win for Defence Estate projects which will see the job security for some 30 members of their site team this year.

Securing Defence Estates projects is seen by CEL Ltd as a major achievement not solely based around the financial security of the company. Defence Estates in conjunction with Pride work to the highest of bench marks in the construction industry demanding levels of Health & Safety and workmanship not seen in general contracting. CEL Ltd have always strived to reach standards of Health & Safety that set themselves apart from the masses and have achieved recognition with CHAS (Construction Health & Safety Assessment Scheme) for some years now,  However, these new orders show that the standards now being achieved are recognisably higher than most.

The projects at Kings Troop Woolwich Barracks & Former Army Staff College Sandhurst, for Morgan Sindall and Interserve respectfully are considered to be a great achievement in the trying times the construction industry is being influenced by, and show that despite the downturn C.E.L Ltd are still prepared to meet the highest expectations of their clients. The project sizes also show that C.E.L Ltd have a stability that many would wish to see in their own companies working to.

FASC Sandhurst requires the production and installation of some 200 tons of sandcast lead sheet produced at the factories of C.E.L Ltd in both Cambridgeshire and Norfolk, whilst Kings Troop will require 10,000 square meters (80 tons) of zinc sheet produced by manufacturer VM Zinc.
